The game they were playing was getting too risky for the blonde, he could hear how the other was getting closer, slowly but at least she was moving. Honestly, their behaviour was downright useless, if not stupid. But he’d be damned before he’d die by the arrow of some random woman that just meant to make sure he doesn’t shoot first.
The word ‘infected’ momentarily caught his attention, though he spent no further thought on it, seeing as he was already having his hands full with not being shot by an arrow. But, since she was urging him, that didn’t leave anything good to be expected.
“…..I’m coming out all right, just don’t.. shoot me with that damn thing!” A light sigh escaped the soldier as he moved his arm out from behind the tree, then slowly made a step to the side, eventually standing next to what he’d used as cover and raising his hands to show that he wasn’t holding anything to attack her with.
“…you can uh.. put that down now, please.”
Green eyes darted to the right as she eventually spotted a tall blonde step out from one of the trees. Even with his hands up, Ellie still scanned the man for weapons. She spotted the holsters on him, but he had nothing in his hands. Apart from that, he looked like a damn wreck, which wan’t too unusual. Ellie knew a lot of people sporting the grime and smelling like decaying bodies.
When he asked her politely to lower the weapon, Ellie lowered it slightly so it wasn’t pointing at him any longer. However, she still kept it firmly gripped in her hands; she knew what people carried in holsters.
“Ya’ try anythin’ with what’s in that holster and I’ll shoot ya’ in the fuckin’ head.” She warned, her eyes on him at all times. “What you doin’ out ‘ere on ya’ own?” She asked him. She rarely made human contact with people who didn’t reside at Tommy’s, and this was another one of those rare moments.

A half smile tugged at her lips as the male thanked her once more. Alright, maybe this wasn’t as bad as she thought....
He might not have been completely ‘through’ with this whole thing, but he did feel somewhat relieved that she’d try to...
